Why SMITH Downhill Goggles?

To go fast, you need to see what's coming. Our bike goggles set you up with crisp visuals thanks to ChromaPop™ anti-fog lenses for enhanced contrast and colors that pop. Seamless integration with our helmets means maximum comfort and venting.

Do you need goggles for mountain biking?

Goggles aren’t mandatory for mountain biking, but they offer lots of valuable benefits that can enhance your ride. Mountain bike goggles can protect your eyes from dirt, debris, and harsh sunlight while improving visibility on technical trails. We definitely recommend wearing MTB goggles for higher-intensity riding, like downhill riding.

Are snow goggles and MTB goggles the same?

They share some similarities but are built for different conditions. Snow goggles often have insulation and lens tints geared for colder, brighter environments. MTB goggles prioritize ventilation and durability to handle things like variable terrain, dust, and mud.

What is the best eye protection for mountain bikers?

Look for impact-resistant lenses, a comfortable fit, and plenty of ventilation. The best MTB goggles will protect against dirt & debris, maintain clarity in changing weather, offer innovative lens tech like ChromaPop™, and fit seamlessly with your helmet.

How to clean MTB goggles

Gently rinse off dirt with water and use a soft, lint-free cloth to wipe the lens. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that can damage coatings. Let the goggles air-dry before storing them in their protective pouch or case.
